PREPARE FOR FIREWORKS
We are coming up to that time of year again when pets are going to be exposed to all those loud bangs, crashes and flashes of fireworks. They just don’t understand what is going on, some animals are ok but others can get really stressed!
It is not just at this time of the year either, fireworks are becoming more popular for all different kinds of events now.
Here are a few suggestions on how to cope with a distressed pet:
Keep him indoors with windows and doors closed
Have the lights and TV or radio on
Distract him, keep him occupied with his favourite toy or give him his favourite treat
Create a safe area for him to be able to hide if necessary
There are several products available from us to help with a stressed animal and plenty of advice on hand if you want to ask any questions.
NB If you are holding a fireworks party near any horse paddocks please inform the owners so they can look after their horses appropriately.
