PAYMENT FOR TREATMENT
Consultations with our vets and any medication prescribed for your animal must be paid for at the time of consultation. We encourage our customers not to ask for credit as a refusal may offend.
INSURANCE
Veterinary care for your pet can be an expensive excercise and we strongly advise everybody to insure their pets against illness, accidents and even premature death.
For a fraction of what it costs to feed your pet per week you can insure them against the, sometimes, high costs of a prolonged course of treatment, for an unexpected illness or accident, maybe even death. When your pet is insured, with the exceptions of vaccination and other elective routine procedures such as neutering, your veterinary bill will never exceed individual insurers excess that you have to pay towards any treatment.
Ideally, insurance should be taken out early in your pet's life, however, you can insure your pet even if he is undergoing treatment, the current condition will not be covered but all future treatment for other ailments will be covered. It is our experience that few pet owners realise that this is the case.
We must emphasise that we are no way involved in selling insurance. Our endeavour is to provide the best possible standard of care. Realistically, however, we appreciate that this can be expensive and it can be very traumatic when a pet's health or sometimes life is compromised by financial considerations. We therefore believe that pet insurance makes very good and practical sense.
